Uptown Floral Studio is the Perfect Place for Brand Photos

We’ve been following Gather Flower Studio on Instagram since it first opened in Charlotte a couple of years ago. But it wasn’t until a new client suggested it as a photo shoot location for brand photos that we knew it was time to visit in person!
Located upstairs in The Alley at Latta Arcade in a former photography studio, Gather Flower Studio is a place that instantly makes you take a deep, calming breath when you enter. From the floor-to-ceiling windows filling the room with sunlight, to the floral scents permeating the air, it’s exactly what you want a quaint flower shop to look like. Vessels of all shapes and sizes hold stems of flowers everywhere. Potted plants sit on the rungs of an old wooden ladder. Open shelves with amber bud vases, cut glass votive holders, and beeswax courting candles line the east wall of windows. It’s bright and airy, but it also boasts a deep moody wall that looks like it’s been coated in dark chocolate.
Just What We Needed
One of our goals this quarter is to scout gorgeous, out-of-the-box locations we know our clients will love. We also want to meet local women-led businesses in person so we can champion them in actual life. So we initially reached out to owner Jess Rauls through DMs, hoping to have a quick in-person introduction. But she and teammate Alice were so generous with their time.
They welcomed us with warm smiles and hugs, and what we thought was just going to be a quick hello turned into a delightful morning of chatting all things small business. From our daily routines and being in business partnerships, to the deep pull to create meaningful work and intentional connections with our clients, our time with Jess and Alice felt rich and full. It was just what we didn’t even know we needed.
